Pennsylvania is one of the 13 original states of the United States. The capital is Harrisburg and Philadelphia is the largest city. The state is bordered on the north by New York and Lake Erie, on the east by New York and New Jersey, on the south by Delaware, Maryland, and West Virginia. On the west it is bordered by West Virginia and Ohio.
